That Time Of Year Again - Yes, Girl Scout Cookie Time

As you will all soon learn I am a HUGE health freak. I eat only fruits, vegetables, and even peanut butter made with the simplest ingredients, such as peanuts and honey. I am a vegetarian who recently had to basically go vegan because of a new lactose intolerance issue. Yogurts and cheese were my life, but that's all in the past now. Not only am I super freaky about the foods I eat, but about being very active and fit as well. In fact, my goal career is to be a personal trainer/nutritionist. I exercise for an hour or more every day, sometimes twice a day. I wasn't always this way either. In 2014 I made it my New Years Resolution to become healthier and lose weight. I unlike most of us, take those resolutions very seriously. I was successful in losing 20 pounds, dropping almost 3 pant sizes, and completely changing the way I ate and lived.

Anyways, all that excessive and unnecessary information being said, it is now the middle of April and our town finally received it's girl scout cookies (there was a huge back order issue and they were like 3 weeks late in being delivered but who is going to complain, you can only buy them once a year). Samoa's are my absolute favorite cookie of all time too, and although I try my hardest to limit my sugar intake, (because a healthy person doesn't eat junk food! Well this one does way more than she'd like too) in 3 days time I managed to eat an entire box of those darn cookies. It doesn't help much with the fact that my mom ordered me 3 boxes... She's always trying to fatten me up. Like with brownies as well;.I could eat an entire pan of brownies to myself, no problem, and she takes full advantage of that fact. Totally wandering off topic now.

I guess I'm just curious as to how others out there succeed in straying away from all the sugary goodness out there? That's still my biggest struggle, not cheating on my healthy diet (as in the type of foods I normally eat and enjoy). Avoiding chocolate chip cookies (especially oatmeal chocolate chip cookies), brownies, and those dang Samoa's is seriously my flaw and hardest task. Thankfully, the cookies only come around once a year.

*On a side note, that resolution was the best decision I've made for myself. I feel so much healthier, in shape, energetic, upbeat, and alive.
